The Study Association Vuxenskolan (SV) is one of Sweden's largest study associations with operations in all of Sweden's municipalities. We offer creative meeting places that provide people with opportunities for knowledge, education, and community engagement. When you work within SV, you also contribute to a democratic and sustainable society.
About the position
Your main task is to create contacts with organizations and associations in civil society, both existing and new, and to assist them with their study activities.
As a business developer at SV Uppsala County, you create, drive, develop, and arrange local folk education activities in the form of study circles, courses, and cultural activities in a variety of areas.
This is an outward-facing position where you continuously maintain contacts with associations and circle leaders and are responsible for the administration related to the operations. The work is independent with a high degree of personal responsibility, but you also collaborate with your 12 colleagues in the department. In the role of business developer, you have great opportunity and space to be innovative and take initiative within the framework of set goals.
Your office is located in central Uppsala (Kungsgatan 64), but remote work is possible to some extent.
The tasks include, among others:
independently plan and organize study circles and cultural activities
maintain good and sustainable relationships with our partners
recruit, train, support, and develop circle leaders
ensure that the operations comply with applicable regulations from the state, region, and municipality
administer the operations in our database Gustav
Your profile
We place great importance on your personal qualities.
You have a social interest and experience in civil society, e.g., through your own engagement in an association. It is an advantage if you have experience in folk education and have a good network in Uppsala.
The role requires that you are communicatively skilled, both in speech and writing, and that you can build sustainable relationships through trust and confidence. You have the ability to listen, take initiative, and be action-oriented, while also being able to structure, prioritize, and plan your work effectively.
You enjoy various types of tasks and managing multiple assignments simultaneously. You are a good team player and contribute to a positive collaborative climate. Of course, you share SV's values regarding everyone's equal worth and rights.
You have good computer skills.
The position may involve some travel within the county and therefore requires a driver's license and access to a car.

A meaningful job where you develop and make a difference for people.
